Fighting Cancer: Tips for Staying Positive

Sometimes it feels like fighting this cancer is a very heavy burden. I’ve had a few people support me but there are still times I break down & cry from the weight of it all. Are there any tips available for keeping your head up?

Do not overthink! Try to live your life to the fullest!! that quote (Live like you are dying) and be around the people that you love and that love you. Get out and do things as much as you can. Do not put your plans & goals on hold!!! Our lives are not over yet!! and we need to keep on living and pushing!! I find that I have the hardest time at night. I’m a single mom so when I’m alone before bed that is when I tend to have anxiety the most. I’m looking into getting my medical marijuana card because I do not like taking Klonopin that they prescribed me for anxiety. Hopefully this app will help us as well. You’re not alone. ❤️

Remembering that there will be another side to it. It's hard when you don't know what's gonna happen, especially when the diagnosis and the culture around it is so, so heavy and scary. But it also reminded me that I'm still here. I lived as much as I could till the next step. Then the next step happened. Then I was grateful to still be here and moved onto the next step. Taking it pace by pace really helps relieve the weight of trying to envision the question mark that is the entire rest of your life, and it allows you to look at the people right in front of you to love them, and the things you want to do that you can do in these moments. My heart really goes out to you and I wish you all the best!!!❤️

It's definitely hard!! Everyone wants to be there for you but there isn't really anything they can do. It takes a toll on you mentally. I just let my emotions loose when everyone is in bed in take a hot shower and I cry it helps me. Sometime I try to push it out of my head for 1 day
