Hi! I worked offshore for 12 years and now work onshore but travel a lot. I find asking for specific things in hotel rooms or bringing my own pillow helps a lot, I try not to change my routine a lot when I'm away, like still shower/bathe at the same kinda times, make sure I've got enough of my medications with me and a little extra in case of a bad flare. I keep healthy snacks in my work van with plenty of water in case I'm far away from civilization. I bring a hot water bottle with me and fill it with the little hotel kettles you get, or ask a member of staff to assist. I bring comfortable clothing, my slippers and joggers for in an evening, my dressing gown to keep warm or shorts if it's too warm.
@anniidoll13 Thanks!
I don't travel a lot, but I do take instant cold packs for when I leave the house. Maybe this could help? Idk if it helps my fibro or just some of my other stuff.

@Bubbles18 Hey, the coping with chronic pain group shares stuff like this if you’d like to join it on here. I asked this question in the group. Waiting on answers :)

Some tips for traveling with Fibromyalgia include wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, practicing spoon theory mindfulness, and being able to say "no" to physically taxing activities. It's also recommended to avoid eating anything that could potentially worsen your condition. Some people find it helpful to use topicals or take CBD gummies for self-care during travel. If you're flying, having pain medication on standby for when you land might be beneficial. Additionally, taking rest periods periodically, using shock-absorbing insoles in your shoes, and carrying items like Voltaren or single-use ice packs can also help manage fibro flares during travel.
