I was diagnosed with FM this year, but have had symptoms present for over a decade. Personally, I would like to avoid prescription long term meds and focus on alternative treatments and supplements. I want to connect with people to compare symptoms and successes with treatments, and sometimes emotional support. I also am concerned my doctor isn’t running enough tests but I’m also uninsured. Just overall frustrated! Would love to see what others have tried and excited to connect.

Hello! :) I’ve had fibro for around 10 years now + also haven’t used any meds for it- similar to Unlucky Unicorn I have found some success with PT and massage therapy! I also noticed that eating healthy tends to help my symptoms (mostly just avoiding sugar as much as I can at least in the mornings as it tends to lead to a higher pain day)

Try magnesium. I've had symptoms present for around 15 years. And was diagnosed about 6 years ago. After doing my own research, I found magnesium. It's been amazing.

Hi Lolo! I understand where you are coming from! I also like to focus on supplements and alternative options though I do use prescriptions now in hopes I can function enough to try certain therapies (exercise, PT, massage, etc) to see if they help and I can sustain them to get off meds. I am glad you have an answer after all your time suffering. It is very frustrating but having people here helps! I would love to connect! ❤️
