Struggling with Sleep and Fibromyalgia

I've been having such a difficult time sleeping lately, however when I do fall asleep I can't hardly wake up and I feel groggy and irritated when I am awake. Anyone else with Fibro have this issue?

Natrol Melatonin was the best thing for me.

This is, unfortunately, incredibly common with fibro. Our brains don’t like to go into deep sleep ever so we wake up exhausted, always. My fatigue is so crushing sometimes I feel like I’m wearing s lead suit. Prescription sedatives or muscle relaxers help me fall asleep at times but nothing really helps the chronic exhaustion.

Definitely have had that. It might be an indication you're not getting enough deep sleep- that's what I learned after using a sleep tracker for awhile. I think the fibro just doesn't let us truly rest and recover. If you have the ability to get some CBD oil, you might want to try that. I got started on Aliviar 20:1 tincture and it absolutely got me a much more normal night of sleep. Good luck!

I started taking a valerian root supplement just before bed about 6 months ago and honestly noticed an immediate difference in my quality of sleep

I took amitripyline and that stuff is horrible... it made me irritable and I felt so dopey like my head was under water it was awful 😖 I don't sleep alot either but I have been taking relaxia they have ot for day calm and night to help promote sleep.. I take that with my night meds and usually get a good 3 to 6 hours a night..

I’m taking 10mg and it’s supposedly a low dose but I DO NOT like this.. my doctor suggested we try it for two weeks but it hasn’t been a week yet and I absolutely hate it.
