Over the counter medication for Fibro pain relief

For anyone trying to use over the counter medication for pain (Specifically Fibro) I've been stupid and taking Tylenol, and recently prescribed 600mg Ibuprofen after a flare up. The doctor explained that and Aleve helps more because my pain was mainly caused by Inflamation around my ribcage (Costochondritis, a symptom of fibro) and these two meds are anti-inflammatory. So hopefully this helps someone out there like me who didn't know! <3

You can take both Tylenol and NSAIDs. Tylenol can help pain and even opiate medications are often paired with Tylenol (aka acetaminophen). Though Tylenol does not reduce inflammation which can be why Advil, Aleve, or prescription NSAIDs (Celebrex, Meloxicam, etc) may be more helpful. However, you can take both and can be especially helpful to stagger the meds for better overall management of pain.
