I have only just been Diagnosed Officially with Fibromyalgia which is apparently quite Rare in Men. However we have suspected I've had it for a Couple of years. Looking for Recommendations to help with the Pain?

The problem with fibro is that it's mainly in the brain, so normal pain medication doesn't help. I've found baths, hot wheat bags, hot water bottles and voltarol quite helpful (: gentle stretching exercises such as yoga and tai chi can be beneficial too ^°^ hope this helps

That's so weird because it's very Similar to what I already try to do. I'm 6ft 7in Tall and try to have 3 Litres a day. But means I'm always on the Toilet 🚽 lol 😂 x I have a Heat 🔥 Pad in my Bed 🛏 for my Spine which used to help a lot but not as much as it once did. My Morphine Patches and Co-codamol and Paracetamol do practically nothing!

I was diagnosed last week but knew it for a while- I use heat pads and migraine patches, a hot & cold migraine cap & always have Ibuprofen, anadin and aspirin with me at all times! Also stay hydrated, I try to have at least 2 litres of water a day, and try to limit your daily activities and not overdo it! Xx

Some recommendations for managing fibromyalgia pain include staying hydrated, eating anti-inflammatory foods, and engaging in movement such as stretching or soft yoga. Over-the-counter options like supplements and guaifenesin (an active medicine in Mucinex) can also help. Other suggestions include hot baths, comfort food, plenty of rest, using a mobility aid when necessary, and taking over-the-counter pain relievers like Advil. Some people have found relief with CBD and cannabis where it's legal, as well as Epsom salt baths.
