Anyone else with fibromyalgia get muscle twitches? Where you can see/feel it jump under the skin? The twitches themselves are separate from the pain and don’t hurt. Only one other person I’ve met with fibro gets them too. Makes me wonder if they’re missing something/ I’ve been misdiagnosed.

@KJ_ yeah, I actually have a really good rheumatologist who diagnosed my Ankylosing Spondylitis when everyone else was happy to totally ignore my symptoms altogether. It’s just that now I’m in this really weird boat where I’m adjusting my AS and PCOS treatments, so no one is willing to totally commit to what could be causing some of my lingering weirder symptoms (like the muscle spasmy thing). So more waiting game for me. 🙃😭

I get the same thing! Unfortunately I have no idea if it's a fibro thing or not. I was diagnosed years ago, but I only started getting the muscle twitches this year. I've been trying to find out if the two are related at all, but I've only found one other person (and now you as well) with the same experience.

I haven’t been diagnosed with fibro, though I’ve suspected it, but I have that EXACT thing!!! I’ve never been given a medical explanation for it, or met anyone else who got it.

@aldrwytch if you want a diagnosis, the experts on Fibro are rheumatologists (though nobody knows enough about what causes it and it troubles me.) it took me almost a year of google searches and other doctors before someone was like “hey I think you have fibro and need to see a rheumatologist.” They can order the blood tests that rule out a lot of similar disorders like arthritis. He was certain it’s what I had. Still hoping he’s right.
