Primary care doc sent a referral to a rheumatologist who did a lot of blood work, history, and finally received the diagnosis.

You can go see a Rheumatologist or Pain Management if you're in significant pain. Good luck and write back if you have more questions. Good luck!

I’m my case, it was process of elimination. Blood tests showed it wasn’t RA, lupus, E-B, etc , so the rheumatologist said it’s fibro. I guess that’s the most common way to get a diagnosis.
