Feeling Trapped by My Anxiety

I feel like I lost control of my life. I can't even leave my house without having a panic attack. i can't be in a store because I'll suddenly feel bad. My anxiety controls me every minute, I don't even have a social life anymore. I'm letting this illness control me and I don't know how to make it stop

I don't know what to say other than me too. It's really a cruel thing.

It sucks. Me too. Please don't blame yourself. It sounds like you're putting guilt on yourself but we have to stop that. I do the same thing though, but it's just a horrible, horrible thing. Just your body reacting. Here if you need cause I can express myself well in one message. X

You're not alone. Only advice I can give is to take small steps. Expose yourself slowly and nicely. I had a bad ex and my home town became a scary place. I avoided going out in fear of him. I slowly worked my way out. For awhile just riding in the passenger seat or even in the back. Then going in. Eventually I went to a common hang out place of his. Completely alone. Took me months but I did it. And you can do. Be gentle with yourself. You are more in control than you think. 💛

I can relate it sucks but it isn’t forever! You have to face your panic attack and let yourself know it’s a way your body trying to protect you! It’s a way of your body perceiving danger that’s not even there. You’re going to have to focus on healing your inner self to tackle this
