Feeling Stuck in Therapy: What to Do?

what do i do if i feel like my therapist isn’t helping me. how are they supposed to be helping me? all they do is ask about how things are and then we just awkwardly sit there for 30 minutes. i need a change since i am in a down spiral.

Can you help? Connect today

i'd def recommend talking with your therapist about it and/or getting a new therapist. i'm sorry that you have to deal with that - it's so weird to me that some therapists will let sessions be so directionless.

Therapy sessions should flow well and not feel awkward, you just need a different therapist that you can vibe with

Therapeutic alliance is extremely important. I would search for someone new.

Don’t ever feel bad about breaking up with your therapist. Sometimes two people just aren’t a good fit. Comfort and trust with a therapist is so important.
