Feeling like a Fool for Crying About Diabetes

I felt like a weirdo. My eye Dr said oh wow you have been diabetic for 20 years this year. After I left I cried. Being diabetic hasn’t been easy. Felt like a fool for crying about it 🤦🏼‍♀️

Don't feel bad, I'm on year 22 of being a diabetic and the anniversary of the day I was diagnosed is always a little tough for me ❤️

Noooo!! Don't feel weird about it!!! I believe it's a grief thing. Our lives grow around the grief of a diagnosis but every once in a while, the grief springs up HARD. It's okay. Have the cry. Embrace the moment. And then keep living life well! 💕

Samesies. It's not easy and doctors are not easy to deal with or find that are easy to deal with. I cry sometimes due to burnout which ends up being almost a couple of times a month if not more. You're not alone and it's okay to get emotional about the stupid stuff. I call it stupid stuff because we didn't ask for it. Keep your head up and keep smiling. Find things that make you happy that support your diabetes.
