Feeling like a burden

I feel like a burden to all my family and friends because of my condition and they do their best to reassure me but I cant help but know how much easier their life would be if they didnt have to worry about me. my depression is getting so much worse. and my pain is too much to handle anymore.

I totally understand. It’s nice to be reassured by people, but it’s also easy to talk yourself out of it. I just remind myself as much as I can that if they didn’t want to be around to help they could choose not to. It sounds like you have people who know you can’t control what you’re dealing with and didn’t choose it.

I have been where you are also. My CRPS affects my whole left side of my body now. I was diagnosed in 2007 when my left foot got down to 70 degrees . I almost lost my foot/ankle. I deal with depression every day. My pain starts getting worse in the late afternoon and just gets worse from there. It has calmed down a lot after I got 2 Spinal Cord Stimulators. The one on my left side controls my left leg and foot. The one on the right side controls my left arm. My pain levels have gone down so very much. I still have to take Xtamza for pain 27.5mg twice a day. At one time I was having to take 90mg of Oxytocin 3 times a day and 30 mg for breakthrough pain. I’m glad that I am off of the Oxytocin now since 2020. I have lost count of all of the blocks I have had . I’m waiting for my 7th bought of Shingles to clear up so I can have injections in both hips. They called me to schedule the day after I broke out. I still have really bad days of depression. I wish I could go back to work but I can’t anymore. I’m 100 percent disabled now since 2008. I pray that you get some relief from your pain.
