Feeling Ignored When Sharing Problems

does anyone else feel like when they talk to someone about problems you feel like they dont care...? or that your just bothering them..?

Yeah I do too, but honestly it helps me to get things out and if they didnt care they would tell you, or make it obvious they aren't interested.

I do the same thing, even with my wife I feel like she’s heard it all, it took her years to believe I have been in crazy pain and even after 46 surgeries it seems like she still thinks I shouldn’t be taking one thing or another. As far as friends go, I have very few because of my issues even though I rarely talk about them unless asked, I don’t even know anymore it just seems like I’m standing still watching the world go right on passed in high speed. I can’t keep up with anything.

I hate when people do this. People should be able to listen and share. Shelving emotions for the sake of friends is such an important part of the human experience... sorry people have treated you that way, you're valid and deserve to vent 🙌

Yes, it's a big reason why I don't usually talk about my problems to anyone but my counselor, med provider or my bipolar group. It's just disappointing to share problems but not get the feedback or comfort I need so I don't waste my time anymore.
