Feeling Guilty for Having PTSD

I hate having PTSD because I just feel like the reason I have it is very insignificant compared to others. People have gone through horrific things and I just feel guilty for even having PTSD.

I understand what you mean, but I think trauma isn't something that can be compared. if something made you feel scared, powerless, alone, hurt, or taken advantage of, you are valid. ❤️ im here if you need to talk

I feel the same way. 😥 But i know that your trauma is real and you shouldn’t feel guilty at all. 💜 just keep telling yourself that

Think of it this way, if someone lies to you, people feel the same way. It doesn’t matter the degree of the lie, we’re human we feel the same emotions.❤️

Don’t feel guilty,it’s not your fault. I think all levels of PTSD are horrific and everyone that suffers from PTSD goes through horrific situations.

trauma is relative! it also has a lot to do with our vulnerability at the time. for instance, if a young child is exposed to domestic violence or parental fighting, and they can’t physically remove themself from the situation because they’re a child, they are significantly more vulnerable than an adult in that same situation. try not to compare your trauma to others. be gentle with yourself. you and your feelings are valid. sending love 💕
