Just switched from olanzapine (7.5 mg) to risperidone (2 mg) and I have to say I'm feeling so much better. I was sedated, flat, sleepy, and foggy on the olanzapine, even though it did get me to sleep. Risperidone is far less sedating, so it takes some work to get to sleep, but it's worth it. I'm excited for things- I feel like I'm getting my life back. I can't believe I waited this long to change meds all because I was too scared of insomnia leading to psychosis, which hasn't happened at all.
