Feeling Alone in a DID System

There’s so much that we can’t tell our friends and family, because it’s all too much. I feel so alone, even though I’m part of a DID system. Can anyone else relate?

THIS!!! It's like you literally share your mind and body with other people and yet you're by yourself.

I completely understand. I’m inching forward to sharing more with my tight group of friends, but it can be very difficult even when people know.

I can relate 100%, the pressure of telling your friends too and not wanting to feel selfish or scared they will treat you differently. I completely get it. Even when you are surrounded by people you still feel alone and that’s normal

I do, I'm not in the position of being alone anymore but I was for many years. It helped immensely having a close knit group of friends with similar mental illnesses
