I know therapists are not supposed to be personally invested, but I feel like mine doesn’t care at all. My appointments are always so far spaced out that I forget about them or it’s been so long my work schedule changed. Not only that but it feels like she’s trying to get rid of me because when I said(earlier this year) I wanted to move to a city that was in another county(I was already moving around other cities in other counties mind you), she took it as an opportunity to tell me I can look for another clinician there. My psychiatrist didn’t even do that, and when I brought this up to the psychiatrist she was actually surprised. I want another therapist but I’m going through a lot and she’s the one that actually knows what’s been going on because she was there before my situation started and I need someone who’s been there for me before so it’s a rough time for me to switch. I feel like I’m just being a horrible person when I vent to my friends so I stopped doing that and now I don’t have anyone and I’m so lonely and scared.

I think there’s a way for your new therapist to get some of your current therapist’s notes like a medical record type thing so that you wouldn’t be starting from zero. I was in a similar situation once and after I finally canceled and finally found a new therapist, I was so glad I switched.

That sounds horrible! She sounds like a really peice of something... I know it feels like a bad time to switch but this honestly doesn't seem like you have a therapist at all. If you can change, I would reccomend it with all my heart ❤️ I hope you can find someone who wants to listen, or at least has professional respect for you
