How to deal with my fear of bugs in the shower?

its hard for me to shower because i am so paranoid that there will be just tons of roaches and bugs in the shower. ive lived in homes infested with bugs so many times that bugs have become my biggest fear, any time i see one i have a panic attack, they were always in my shower growing up so sometimes i will go weeks without showering because i am so scared. how can i deal with this??

I have panic attacks when I see most bugs. I’m okay with spiders. Mostly because they eat some of the bugs I have panicked over. I had a reoccurring nightmare as a kid that involved …. ya know I’m gonna skip the details. Would spraying your shower down before getting in help maybe?

i have this fear with centipedes!! the exterminator recommended pouring some bleach down the drain every week or so! even if you don’t actively have a lot of bugs, it might give you some peace of mind!

Well dear, you could go through and buy something that would attract them to another place, and have a family member or friend replace it when needed.

yes if i dont shower usually i will just wash with a rag
