Never been able to get a diagnosis for this so I do not know exactly what it is, but I have a problem with sleep. Whenever I sit down for too long or even with standing if i stay still for too long or if i become too physically comfortable..i fall asleep very quickly even when not tired. i can never physically relax or get comfy during the day in fear of falling asleep at an inconvenient time. Even when watching a movie, if i don't stand up every 5 to 20 minutes i will fall asleep. There is a few other issues with my sleep as well but this is the main part of it that i worry about.

@_Anne_ I had similar thoughts about it but a while ago i had a scan done and they said there was nothing wrong that they could find and accused me of acting and making it up. Perhaps i need to find another location to run tests? Just really wish i knew what it is so i can get the right help for it.

Narcolepsy or RLS is what it sounds like to me

Yes agree with trying to get tested for sleep apnea as one option

I agree RazzleDazzles I have an uncle who uses a c-pap machine to sleep at night because no other alternative helped. I also have a sister who had to have her tonsils removed because of snoring heavy to the point she would stop breathing at times and we would have to check on her through the night. I'd be losing my shit cause of the snoring πŸ˜€πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ€―πŸ˜‘ but yeah just get tested and go from there my friend. πŸ™‚ speedy recovery πŸ™πŸ½ πŸ’•

I alternate between doing this and Never Sleeping Ever. Do you also just fall asleep no matter what's happening or what you're doing? I've passed out with a drink in my hand (thankfully it was a cold one), in the middle of conversation, and I've dropped an embarrassing number of dishes or needed someone else to take over cooking because it is Naptime. I was just telling my mom the other day that if I'm at all tired, I will go to sleep and nothing can stop it, even if I don't want to sleep. Anyways I don't have a diagnosis but literally everyone in my life calls it narcolepsy so if this sounds at all like you maybe find someone who will take you seriously and get a sleep study done

@wise Yes it does happen no matter the what's going on around me. There has been times I passed out just by sitting down or even when standing for a few minutes without moving at all. Sometimes i will nod or feel light headed, so then i start moving around to prevent it from happening. But most times i can't feel it coming. I'm always moving around and hardly sitting down during the day in fear i might fall asleep.

Yep sounds like narcolepsy. I knew a lady who was a narcoleptic Mrs. Manny. We worked at a cookie factory together and Mrs. Manny worked on line 1 which is the fastest line in production well atleast there. Anyway you really had to be a super fast Packer to work that line or else you got written up for lack of production lol smh Ms. Manny would be packing while standing asleep 😴 πŸ’€ and wouldn't miss a beat. She'd wake up and nod right back off. She'd sit down during break 5 minutes later she's asleep 😴 πŸ’€ and she says she always rested it's just a condition she has. Not sure if she was on meds for it or not. So yeah a sleep study might be helpful. πŸ™‚

Sounds kind of like narcolepsy but it also could just be pure exhaustion from being alive. You should talk to a doctor about having a sleep study.
