Have you ever been checked for PCOS? Facial hair as well as weight gain are symptoms of PCOS. We thought I may have it, but now I'm also going through perimenopause which can cause facial hair growth as well as irregular or absent menstrual cycles, so I think for me it'll be hard to know.

Some recommendations to manage facial hair growth include Inositol, a powdered supplement that helps with lowering testosterone, maintaining good ovarian health, and helps with insulin levels. Spironolactone can help with reducing androgens (which makes you hairy). Metformin is an option but you’ll likely have to take birth control with it because it can cause birth defects. Spearmint tea can also help reduce body hair. Laser hair removal is another option, although it can be expensive.
