Does anyone else get crazy eye pressure when they are having anxiety? It’s one of my bizarre symptoms and was curious if it’s anxiety related or just a coincidence.

@Kyralynn Hi! These are some I've seen - cold pack on eye lids - warm towel on eye lids - limit/take breaks from staring at screens too long - dim/filter light (I use a bluelight filter that makes my phone more orangey warm + dark mode) - eye drops/artificial tears - use a humidifier - otc pain killers like tylenol - blink more (will lessen dryness) These may not all apply to you but these are ones I've seen recommended alot. Hope this helps!! :]

@beautifulDisasterxo it’s the worst!! Makes me feel like I’m going to pass out even tho I’ve never passed out before and then I get really anxious and my heart starts to race.

I remember when I had a black eye my mom told me to put warm tea bags on your eyes (closed) but you can use a wash cloth or paper towel. I actually haven't done this since then but I did think about it. I've tried massaging them (makes your eyes blur) but I think warmth and "exercising" them (looking all the way up, down, left, right) can help. Sorry if my writing is confusing ! '^^ I can do more research and get back to you if you'd like ?

Personally I don't experience this but my mom, who is just as anxious as me if not more, always says she feels a pain behind her eye when she's stressed/highly anxious so if that's similar to what you're feeling it very well could be anxiety related! Our bodies do strange things in reaction to nerves, especially for those of us who experience it long term (GAD, social anxiety, etc.)

Yes, I have a usual intense pressure, (like when you wake up with not enough sleep) but I have had extremely sharp stabbing pains and during most of those times I was panicking ( panicking even more after the sharp pain starts of course:'] )

@purplecow have you found anything that helps?
