Exploring the Stigma of Borderline Personality Disorder

I'm discovering that the older I get, the less I feel that I'm at fault for any of this. I'm living each day, trying to be the best person I can be. It's getting easier, and I'm grateful for that.

I have a wonderful trauma therapist that I see on Zoom...once a week. She's helped me so much. Talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, work far better than my meds. I wish you the best

I struggle so much to be heard. I feel misunderstood because it's such a hard diagnosis. I feel like people will always assume the worst or not take me serious. I went to urgent care for a rash and the Dr. Straight up asked if I had Bpd. Because I guess I take mental health meds and she thought I was too worried. I felt like something is wrong with me if other people can guess. I feel like this diagnosis is a jail sentence. Sorry didn't mean to go on. It's been awhile since , well actually the first time ever, I've met others with bpd.

He was a terrible doctor...when he billed me, I refused to pay him

When I was first diagnosed, a really bad shrink said he wouldn't treat me because I would always lie to him!
