Exploring Natural Methods for Hashimoto's Disease

I saw a nutritionist on Instagram say that she “overcame” her hashimotos with her diet (idk what she eats) and has been off medication and good for 6 years. It doesn’t really make sense to me so I’m not planning on ever going off my thyroid medication (I have hashimotos). Is anyone familiar with those “natural” methods though? Curious if any of you have done more research than I have on that subject. Normally I do find simpler and natural methods appealing.

Don’t ever stop your meds without doctors approval. I have heard you can “fix” the cause of hashimotos but you can’t just overnight fix the thyroid hormone deficiency

An autoimmune diet would be the temporary AIP diet. I think she may have been abusing the word cured for treating her. Remission for a long time? Sure! Overcame? No. I did the AIP diet (and still am avoiding certain foods) and I am doing supplements. (I'd do medicine if my levels got bad though.) There are too many social media "doctors." I hope she isn't being malicious. I'm extremely skeptical. But hey who knows I'm no expert.

My mom shames me a lot with this thought process. Tells me the reason I look ill or bloated a lot is due to me eating carbs and not following this apparent diet (also I don’t even live with her???) But I’m very interested to see if diet can help with how I feel

I looked into Hashimoto’s Rootology book from a pharmacist who has it & researched diets to help. I was going to look more in depth on this and try it out. No harm in trying
