Has anyone had success with an exercise plan for pots? My cardiologist recommended that I do some exercise but didn't give much guidance. How did you start doing it? Some days I can't even keep myself sitting upright let alone walking and I would like to be able to go up stairs, would this help?

I use a recumbent bike every now and then while reading for about 15 minutes. (I’ve gotten to the point where I’m able to do 15 minutes, but I began with 5. ) I mainly try to leg and core exercises while in bed and laying down on the couch. It’s not much but, every little bit helps. :)

I've found a few nice beginner workouts by searching for pots exercises on YouTube. They're good because the exercises are done lying down and they focus on strengthening your legs and core.

On the days that I can, I like to do pilates because most of it is laying down but still gives a good stretch and work out. My cardiologist said that it was a good idea too

Some people with POTS have found success with exercise plans that involve low-impact exercises, such as short walks, stretching, and small exercises while lying down like leg lifts or arm circles. Others have tried non-upright exercises like using a recumbent bike, swimming, or seated weight lifting. It's important to start small, listen to your body, and gradually increase the intensity of the exercises. Exercise may help improve symptoms, but it's essential to find a routine that works for you and doesn't worsen your condition.
