Nervous About Endometriosis Surgery Recovery

Scheduled for endometriosis surgery in a couple months. Really nervous. Can anyone tell me about their own experience? More worried about the recovery end of it🥲

Congrats on getting a surgery date! Tbh it's really not bad at all, I had a hard time with recovery but that's only because I had complications because of my other health problems. The surgery shouldn't take too long, it normally takes less than an hour but it could be up to three or four hours depending on how bad your endo is. they'll give your companion (whoever brought you to the surgery center) your recovery instructions and a prescription for strong painkillers. recovery shouldn't take more than a week or two, but if you're still having serious pain, go to the closest ER, they can help with the pain and rule out complications like a bowel obstruction or internal bleeding
