I was diagnosed at age 22 and told I needed a hysterectomy. I used to bleed rectally also, because it was all over my pelvis. I sought another doctor who performed a laparotomy and lazered the endometriosis. I'm now 53 and post menopausal. Once that happened, all of my symptoms went away. It's just my opinion, but I would not have any of my colon removed due to endometriosis. I totally understand your pain. Please let me know if you have any other questions I may be able to answer.
