i’m at the doc for my endo and i don’t know how to tell her that i just want it all removed. i have too many other issues to deal with, i don’t want my endo causing me more problems. she’s not gonna go for it bc of course she’s not it’s not technically medically needed. i just feel hopeless and unheard

I recently was in hospital due to endometriosis, and I brought up total removal to the gynecologist, but they immediately tried to change my mind and get an IUD or go on even stronger birth control. My advice would be to just tell her and advocate for yourself, be strong and don't stop at no, I understand how you feel as I've been told my Endo "isn't extreme enough for surgical removal" but you just have to keep asking and advocating for yourself and your health ❤️

@Sassy__ thank you so much. she was pretty supportive of the idea , but of course wants scans before saying anything definitive. i hope you’re able to get the treatment you need soon. sending love and good vibes <3

@crpswithjess I gotcha! I had excision and it was so helpful. Unfortunately that’s the only treatment for endo and taking out organs can lead to severe PFD and scarring, so they often like to see how much improvement can happen with just excision. Organ removal also does nothing for endo unfortunately. It’s frustrating, but hopefully the excision will help you feel a lot better.
