Anyone diagnosed with endometriosis and then adenomyosis? I had endo excision surgery in 2021 and now my doc thinks I have adenomyosis based on ultrasound imaging. I didn’t improve much after my endometriosis surgery. Considering hysterectomy but wondering if that will do anything, nervous since I didn’t have much improvement with the first surgery. Anyone have insight?

One user mentioned having a second endometriosis removal surgery that didn't work, and they suspected adenomyosis as the cause of their new pain. Another user shared their experience of being diagnosed with adenomyosis after a procedure to remove endometriosis. Hysterectomy is considered a cure for adenomyosis, but it's important to consult with your doctor about your specific situation and potential treatment options.
