Seeking advice on diet for endocrine condition

Finally have another appointment at an Endocrinologist for a second opinion. This doctor was recommended by a co-worker, but I have to wait till March. My husband is getting concerned with my condition. This past weekend I had food poisoning and was sick for a good 24 hours. I’m so frustrated with this whole situation. I have read other’s posts, I would like to know what diet has been working for you. I have been trying to stick to eating chicken, turkey and fish. Staying away from anything with gluten, soy and oils ( other than coconut or olive oil). Mostly organic fruits and vegetables. If anyone has any other thoughts or advice, I would really appreciate it..

Hey! Try to stay away from dairy and sugar. Although dairy doesn’t affect your thyroid very much it can cause a lot of headaches. Also avoid iodized salts.

thank you for that information. Sometimes I feel like I’m all alone in this. So far, sticking to the diet has made me feel better, physically. I just want to sleep better. It makes it so hard to go to work when you didn’t sleep well and your feeling so drained. Has anyone tried Ashwagandha? I have read good things about it.
