I have IBS issues and just had laparoscopic surgery on Thursday to see if I have endometriosis. They found and removed some endometriosis. This is still all new to me so I wish I could offer some advice but all I can say is the surgery is worth it.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling. My doc wants me to have endo surgery and I’m so scared of the recovery and added stress and painful recovery and I have no idea how I’ll manage that and taking care of myself. Im with you on being scared about it. I’m overly stressed the last few months and it’s definitely caused a huge flare of other symptoms especially GI issues (IBS, hiatal hernia, GERD) that are greatly impacting me everyday. With all of that going on that’s why I’ve decided to hold off since my body doesn’t do well with procedures when it’s constantly in fight or flight/overwhelm. You aren’t alone… I pray that it goes well and you can find relief from the anxiety somehow.

Endo and motility issues go hand in hand! My specialist said they’re seeing a lot of endo cases popping up with motility specific issues. Excision of endo and a good motility GI to get you on the right diet/med regimen is so so helpful
