I had a meltdown today in my car because I was 5 minutes late to my Doctors appointment.. being late is a huge trigger for me. Any advice on regulating intense emotions? Recently diagnosed with ASD

I haven't been able to regulate my emotions lately. I squeeze my hands into fists and dissociate until I can function again. I advise you practice time management, specifically planning for traffic issues, warming your vehicle, etc. You may arrive 30 minutes early to an appointment but it's preferable to the anxiety of being a little late.
