Help! I Can't Handle Romantic Situations Without Throwing Up

I throw up almost every time I’m faced with a sexual or dramatic situation usually involving romantic interests. Any tips or thoughts?

it sounds like you could be aromatic or asexual like others said, but i have two other theories. you said you’re gay, and as a lesbian, i think you could have a lot of internalized homophobia. i’m sorry if this is too personal, but if you had a very homophobic environment growing up, this can lead to feelings of immense shame and disgust towards yourself when having intimacy. after i go on a date with a girl, i feel sick sometimes because of shame, but through self acceptance, that’s gotten better. my other theory is that this could be some form of ptsd. again, sorry if this is too personal, but if you had some kind of sexual abuse at some point, this could be an anxiety response. i would advise you to ask yourself if intimacy gives you anxiety. is you throwing up an anxiety response, or is it disgust? why do you think you have these feelings? you may want to see a professional therapist too. i wish you the best

Oh there's another thing about asexual too. I'm mostly demisexual. There's another sexual flag that basically means no to people, yes to yourself. Maybe look it up and see which one seems to be you is what I would suggest.

I know I’m gay, I don’t like have a problem with entertaining myself (if you know what I mean) but when it comes to other people I just get so stressed!

You could be asexual and aromantic. I'm also asexual and get sick around romantic stuff. I would recommend tea to help the stomach, I usually use peppermint tea and chamomile tea. Or if you don't believe that is true maybe just stick with tea and trying to avoid it. I'd still look it up though to see.
