EMDR: A Successful Treatment for PTSD/cPTSD

wanted to share some treatment success! the treatment for PTSD/cPTSD that I've had most success with is EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). essentially, you move your eyes back and forth to stimulate both sides of your brain while reprocessing your trauma. it's a lot of work, but it's worth it. I initially used it to process an isolated event, and it helped me function and enjoy life again. it's hard for me to be vulnerable with people because of cPTSD, especially adults. it took me going through 5 therapists before I found one I liked. I know this isn't accessible for everyone, but I encourage you to keep trying even if it's going roughly. it's worth it. if you have any questions, feel free to comment or DM me! I'll answer to the best of my abilities.
