Feeling Humiliated and Frustrated with EDS

I'm so humiliated and frustrated. I'm 22. I have eds and had to have my pelvis broken to fix a congenital deformity. I was taking a bath and pulled my whole sciatic nerve and couldn't move. I couldn't get out of the tub. I screamed and cryed it was mortyfing. They called paramedics and they helped me out. I feel so useless and old. I can't even take a bath without calling the paramedics. sorry for the rant, I just need some comfort rn.

aw thank you. I didn't call the ambulance for that but I did have to go to the ER for it they basically told me I triggered my vagus nerve when I pooped I was like huh? Wtf. And thank you for commenting

Hey! Please don’t feel embarrassed! Unfortunately EDS does stuff to our bodies that we’d rather other people not know about. Not sure if this will make you feel any better but I’ve had to call an ambulance before after passing out on the toilet. Definitely wasn’t a highlight of my life 😂😂 as hard as it is, I find laughing at myself can help sometimes xx

Was it a PAO? I had that surgery at 16 and it was the worst one (I’ve had 5 surgeries). My mom had to help me shower for weeks after I got out of the hospital it was so humiliating. It sucks, I’m sorry.

yes. It was it's my second one. And it's horrible. My meds were wrong. I've ripped my sutures I've got an allergy to the oxy. I'm sorry you had to have one.
