I'm curious if this is considered as an eating disorder but I can't find it anywhere. out of nowhere I don't want to eat for a few weeks but the rest of the time I don't eat much for example sometimes I don't eat anything, I eat something really small at the end of the day after not eating anything that whole day, I drink water or juice the whole day but eat nothing, I lie when someone finds out I didn't eat anything for that whole day and I lie and say I didn't find anything appetizing, or I force myself to eat when around people but get full after a few bites so I lie and say I ate before that then through everything away. but anyways sometimes food just smells bad and almost can make me gag when in all actual reality it smells good so I just force myself to eat it.

Wait. Sorry I'm a little confused by your wording. So do you sometimes not find food appetizing at all? Does it seem uninteresting to you?

try forcing yourself to eat. even if you’re not hungry. it can be little snacks. like fruit crackers nuts just so that your brain can function normally.

@chantal.831 it’s extremely hard. i know. we’re on the same boat. also try taking protein while eating a small snack throughout the day.

It’s really hard when your appetite fluctuates like that. Mine does that when my depression isn’t being managed well. The way I’ve worked around it is to keep things like granola bars and protein shakes (I love the Premier Protein ones) around, so if I’m really not feeling a whole meal, I can still get something in. Definitely agree w ^ them about talking to your doctor, though.

WARNING: VERY LONG BUT PLZ READ TILL THE END .. I do not have an eating disorder nor have any medical training but..I also do not have anywhere near normal eating habits or schedules..I used to love food..I was a cook forever and can cook well its just natural..and I enjoyed it...until around 2009 when physically I wasn't able to cook my way anymore..after 5 successful surgeries I'm better physically but (always a but sry) I also had some dental issues so I fixed that. Got a nice new top teeth and some repairs on the bottom, first time in years I had a full set of teeth haven't had molors since I was a teen, which caused my sinuses to drop lower (didn't know ow that was a thing, but that's why I had to get a denture rather than inplants)..ready to hit the world running..until about 2-3 yrs ago when the top plate started to not fit as well and I had to start using adhesives ... which doesn't mix well with 4 cervical fusions and sinuses that reside in the back of my throat...and in case u weren't aware dentures r extremely expensive my bottoms have shifted and so now I can't wear the partial.. I go days w/o putting teeth in anymore..with or w/o food is always getting caught in my throat so I'm always having to "cough" it up..(sry) so I don't go to restaurants and when I have to go to a family dinner I deal with all those questions u get (again most of the neg. food comments started a few years ago when I became active again and started losing weight...) I could eat 15xs a day and people would still say I don't eat... HERES THE POINT AND THE MAIN REASON I GIVING MY ADVICE: I don't lie or make up or exaggerate WHAT OR WHY I have/haven't eaten.. I've actually have had to defend myself, cry, yell ect.. I'm so sick of eating freaking eggs, oatmeal, I've always had a problem with mushy textured food..if I can't chew it makes wanna gag..but I try to make sure I'm getting some protien. I miss French fries and chips ... steak or any meat..I'm from Baltimore and it's hard to eat 🦀.. Do u miss food?? Do u defend ur rprotein. Do u try to provide protein & carbs & good fats to ur body.. Again no expert but if u answered no to any probably all 3 questions...I BEG U TO TALK TO A DOCTOR... again sry for an article instead of a simple answer..good luck and keep in touch plz
