Tips for Reducing Pain During Dupixent Injections

yes!! I've noticed that the injection hurts the most when it's colder than my internal body temp. Warm it to your body temperature for 20-40 minutes before injection, the best ways I've found are holding the pen under my armpit, in-between my thighs, I'm my hand for a while etc etc. In my opinion, when I do this my pain level is like 4 points less than when I don't. Also it's important where you place the injection, lean parts of your body will always hurt more.

I used to get the syringe but for me those hurt more 🥲 I’ll definitely try the ice idea tho

When I do it. I let it sit out for 45 mins or longer before I administer the shot from the pen and I have little to no pain this way! Hope this helps ☺️

oh yeah automatic hurt a lot, i’ve been using them. switching to manual syringe soon, so backed up haven’t had a dose in a month haha. i have my dad administer the syringe now

Are those the automatic ones? I’ve heard they hurt more. Try getting the regular needles

honestly i wanna know this too haha i use the pens and it’s always hard. i hate the anticipation of it. i put on my favorite song and wiggle my opposite toes to help distract me and lightly ice my thigh beforehand. still takes me well over 20m to prepare for

I’ll be watching this thread to see if anyone has any ideas. My partner helps me and we use the syringe. I can’t imagine I would handle the auto injection well.
