If you attend therapy regularly, would you say it helps significantly?

Absolutely. I agree with Fabler. It took me a long time to find a therapist that clicked with me. The first time I tried therapy years ago, I went once, didn't like the therapist, and stopped going. It wasn't until 5 years later that I started again. And even then, before regular therapy I had to go through specific counseling for substance abuse. I didn't like the first counselor I had but thankfully the second one was fine. Now, I'm in conventional therapy on a weekly basis with a therapist that I really like and feel safe with.

Therapy is pretty much my lifeline, but it doesn't just work - you have to put the work in and be willing to be uncomfortable in ways that are still safe.

If you're with a therapist who you connect with and who makes you feel like you're heard, yes.
