Doctor's Diagnosis: Fibromyalgia or Laziness?

It irritates me hearing a doctor say there’s no help. They blame it all on fibromyalgia! Why don’t doctors even try to see fully if there’s more to the root of a problem. Just sweep it under the rug of lists of pain. Makes me lose faith each visit with these doctors.

Ugh I totally understand. However I’ve moved to north eastern Arkansas and I’m seeing a different doctor and he’s re running test and things so 🤞that there may be hope

I completely understand… even if it’s fibromyalgia it still has to be something else… pain doesn’t just come from nothing I will never fully understand this 😩 but we will get through it.

I've learned that many times you need to do your own research & confront your Dr. with it. And sometimes you just need a different Dr. There's a reason it's called "practicing" medicine. Hang in there.

i agree completely. its been such a fruitless journey so far. i hope we can all find the one doctor that cares enough to dig deep and try and help us.

it's the worst. even outside of other issues, a lot of the time. doctors give up after treating it once... I got diagnosed at 15 and my PEDIATRICIAN rheumatologist told me after the first med did absolutely nothing for me that my pain is just all in my head. tried to even send me to a 2 week pain management summer camp where I would stay there 24/7. needless to say, I left her.

but yeah, I'm so sorry you deal with that too. it's almost like doctors jobs are just to spin around in a chair instead of treat people's pain 🙄
