Numbness in face and shoulder from anxiety?

Does anyone experience numbness in one side of their face (mainly cheek) and same side shoulder from anxiety? I'm so sick of hearing this is anxiety-related when it constantly feels like I'm going to stroke out. It lasts for hours at a time when it happens.

Anxiety mainly makes my arms/shoulders restless in the physical symptoms. Also the anxiety 💩s suck.

I have. They've done countless tests. I do have herniated discs too but they tell me it shouldn't be causing that with how they currently are.

I have had anxiety for the last 15 years, but I’ve never experienced anything like that. Have you asked your doctor about it? Since it doesn’t always seem to coincide with your anxiety, maybe it could be something unrelated 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! It is great to know someone else experiences this! It's so frustrating. I am anxious like this because of the symptoms, not the other way around! Thank you! I'm sorry you are struggling with this also though :( it's unbearable at times.

Yeah and honestly if anything the weird sensations and everything does cause my anxiety to go haywire because I feel so terrible but it isn’t the start of it or anything it isn’t like I am freaking out and start to have those issues ..I get the numbness and after a while it does freak me out - it feels terrible when it lasts for hours I am sorry to hear you are having this issue it is hard to deal with ❤️

I agree! They say this happens from tightening muscles and hyperventilating, but it will happen on days when I'm not even having excessive anxiety!

Yes I have numbness in my face before when it gets really bad - not my shoulder though. I get it in my hands, and face. My hands also kind weirdly go into a frozenish state it is so strange. I have been told it is from hyperventilating but it is so scary and I don’t know if I always believe that.
