Dizzy After Cleaning: Is It Just Me?

does anyone else get dizzy after cleaning? my mom says its “workititus” and that is really invalidating because like my heart is beating slow and i feel like i need to lay down somewhere, genuinely. and it barely happens anywhere else like it happens every now and then, but it usually happens at home.

      OH MY GOD YES!!!! I’m actually in the middle of moving. my heart rate gets super high, I start getting chest pain and it’ll feel hard to breathe. even now, my legs are cramping, my chest and rib cage feel like they’re tightening up, along with my breasts, and my whole body feels drained. that’s at least how I feel when I clean. I’m sorry your experience is getting invalidated. my mom used to do the same thing to me. she would call me lazy. your feelings are valid and I hear you 🙌🏼

        @MarinaV oh my god thank you so much for your reply 😭 i hope it makes you feel better to know someone relates, because it definitely helps me to know im not imagining things. i always get so weak no matter how much i want to do the task. my mom thinks its just because i dont want to at all

          @bj8 before i got diagnosed with POTS and before I knew what was going on with my body, this was my life. my mom called me lazy and said I didn’t want to clean. but when I clean, I’ll start feeling my heart race, I’ll get dizzy, almost pass out, have chest and rib cage pain. I’ll even start shaking sometimes too. you’re not imagining things. when people can’t relate, they can say insensitive things. I have been there and you are not alone

      I went to your profile and saw that you're on propranolol and ngl that might have something to do with it since I've started taking propranolol, physical activity makes me dizzy and lightheaded it's a great time lol

      Is it all types of cleaning or something specific? I get dizzy while cleaning because of all the up and down movements it requires, I have POTS so position changes are hard. But there are many things that could be going on! I know it’s discouraging when others brush it off, especially when it’s coming from family, but it is definitely worth talking to a doctor about! I’d pay attention to what exactly your doing and what chemicals you’re exposed to before this happens so you can give some details to your doctor!
