I find that putting some music on and singing out loud can help. Some days music is too much, makes my brain itchy, ¿over stimulating? Keeping music off but rolling down the windows, brings in fresh hair, and the sound and sensation of the air whipping around ground you a bit. I tend to talk out loud about what I, other drivers and pedestrians or bicyclists are doing, essentially helps me walk myself through situations. Extra points if you do it in silly voices. Read signs or license plates out loud, turn license plates into some game. Counting how many of a different state you see. Or trying to make the gibberish letters of licenses into silly acronyms

Hi! I do this a TON! It actually causes me anxiety because I can’t remember if a light I went through was green or not! One thing that helps me is to look at different license plates. It helps to focus on the things in front of me and still pay attention to the road. Best of luck!
