You can but it won’t be easy. I don’t have it yet but I’m planning on getting some kind of disability.. I plan to use a lawyer because just off of research it’s best to get a lawyer when you have fibromyalgia and are trying to get disability. I’m sure you have to have paper trails of your doctors visit etc and maybe have more than just fibromyalgia. I think your doctor will have to report all your symptoms too such as brain fog, arthritis like pain and pretty much everything that goes along with fibromyalgia.. anxiety & depression etc..

I started the process again last week with a lawyer. Got denied in 2019 then the world went to you know what....the lawyer said it will NOT be easy. I have OA as well and need multiple joint replacement surgeries. Had first total knee replacement surgery in January next is scheduled for July and then hip and then shoulder. In the last year I lost my husband and my daughter as well

hi if you don’t mind me asking.. did you have a lawyer file or did you do it on your own?

I am in Florida and have been denied once by SSI and once by a lawyer so I'm afraid to try again. But someone my husband knows said I shouldn't have any trouble if I file again. Of course I am worse now and have a few more issues and the long COVID, so we'll see. I know it depends on state, what you have, severity, age, support, length of time, how much you've worked in the last 5-10 years..... it should not be like this.

I've barely worked

I agree! I just barely worked long enough to qualify. I felt like the lawyer was judging me for lack of work history, but I raised 5 productive members of society before I went to work😃.we homeschooled then I was a full blown PTA mom

I know people that have. Back when I was not going for disability back in 1998 you couldn't they didn't believe that fiber was an actual disease until men started getting it then it became an honest illness so fight get documentation do everything you can God bless good luck
