Is it normal that after sitting for a good length of time I need assistance to stand back up? or should I be starting to be getting concerned?

Maybe something to relax the back muscles so you're able to move more freely? That's what my neurologist put me on to help with my ruptured and mitigating discs. I can't lay on my back to sleep all night anymore or simply roll over. I literally have to wake up, sit up and readjust in bed, takes a couple if minutes every time (so multiple times at night I wake up to readjust). But the muscle relaxer does help me move around without constantly waking up. And I no longer lose feeling in my legs from laying on my back like I used to. Used to not ever be able to lay on my back, now I can lay for about 30 minutes before numbness kicks in.

Are you having any nerve pain, muscle pain, fatigue, weakness or tingling?

No just the inability to stand-up
