@verasama I was actually thinking about trying Vyvanse, but my insurance wanted me to use Adderall first. The short-acting Adderall worked, but I hated when it wore off at lunchtime. So I'm on the XR version, and quite happy with it.

be careful on Vyvanse it can cause severe hypomania and severe anger especially if you have bipolar disorder in your family I may or may not have bipolar disorder I don't know but I think my initial "bipolar" was triggered by Vyvanse when I was a child

I've taken Adderall, but since I couldn't get it lately, I've been on vyvanse. I think the Adderall worked better for me personally. My friend has only ever taken Ritalin, and says it's good.

Since I can't access stimulants I have been on Strattera for a few years and it does help me a bit with focus and executive functioning. I think stimulants would potentially be better for me but at least the Strattera is something.

Pristiq was awful for me. Lost appetite and nauseous 24/7.

@Addy97 I had to look this one up. It's an antidepressant used off-label to treat ADHD. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Have you tried anything else?

@Tea.n.Coffee I had to look that one up. It's methylphenidate, the same active ingredient as Ritalin. I don't think the brand name Xaggitin is in the US. Me, I couldn't sleep when I tried it, and it didn't help at all. My son is on it, though, and it's helping him.
