I haven't been officially diagnosed with D.I.D. and don't know how to go about it. It's a really scary thing for me to go in for, I'm scared of being called a liar.

Start by seeing a therapist. Don't go in saying "I need a DID diagnosis," instead be open minded and explain the symptoms you're experiencing. If it's DID, they will likely see that and refer you to someone else (psychiatrist or a specialized therapist) to help you learn to manage better. I'm not sure if a therapist can give a formal diagnosis or it has to be a psychiatrist. Diagnosis takes time, so patience is a must. I think it took 10ish months for me
