Is a Diagnosis from the Wrong Doctor Still Valid?

Yea ppreciate the response I'll look in to it because I haven't been diagnosed recently but I was just wondering about that but I was diagnosed in 4th grade

Does the doctor seem to understand what you are trying to express when you talk about symptoms? Did they spend an adequate amount of time speaking with you or speak to you more than once before making the diagnosis? Do you relate to the experiences of others diagnosed with it? It is always a good idea to get a second opinion, and having a counselor who can spend more time with you discussing symptoms is very helpful with diagnosis. If you don’t feel confident in the diagnosis, definitely seek another professional opinion. I’m sorry your doctor isn’t a good fit, sometimes the process of finding the right professional for you is stressful. I hope you find them soon!
