Diagnosed with ADD at 6, still taking meds at 21

When we’re you diagnosed with ADD/ADHD? I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 6 I’ve been taking medicine since that age for my whole life. I’m 21 now. Have you taken medicine for it?

My psychiatrist put me on Wellbutrin to get rid of the addictive aspects of the stimulant drugs… I’m not officially diagnosed(?) Even though my ADHD test results are way positive?… It’s confusing! She wants more sessions, so I can probably confidently say I am diagnosed for it starting literally a day ago!

I realized in my mid-20s that I had it. I've never been on medication for it. I manage it by having a good routine with plenty of time for breaks and rest, for when I inevitably get distracted.

I was diagnosed at 5 or 6, started meds at 7 and quit them at 17. I took one other medication near the end too.

I might start on something new in the next year or two, but I've used my time off meds to improve other aspects of my mental health, which were affecting my ADHD anyway

I'm 33, realized like 3 years ago that I probably have it, and I finally got it together and have an appointment for my diagnosis in December!
