How to Get Diagnosed for Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder?

hey how do u get diagnosed for maladaptive daydreaminf disorder? Idk if i have it but since 3rd grade i struggled with making friends so i'd just listen to music and imagine myself in book universes. I still do it but less often since i have more assignments.

Maladaptive daydreaming does not have its own specific diagnosis so it's not something you can be formerly diagnosed with 💜 but if you feel like you exist in your daydream worlds a lot and it impacts aspects of your real life then you can absolutely say you have MaDD :)
