When were you diagnosed?

I got diagnosed at 15, I just had a random breakthrough seizure then. My parents thought I never paid attention growing up, but me zoning out were actually absence seizures

Sadly, ever since I was born.

I have a seizure disorder and not epilepsy- which for some reason this app doesn't understand the difference even though there is one- but I had my first seizure at age 2. Had several as a kid and had my last at 19. I am 45 now. As long as I take a medication I am fine.

I was diagnosed in 2012 when I just had several seizures in my senior year biology 2 class.

In 2012 when I was 15

I was diagnosed at 29 years old after a car accident in December of 2002. I suffered a head injury from it. I am now going to be 49.

I was diagnosed with petit mal seizures when I was 8 years old and grand mal seizures when I was 15 😅

I was 6 yrs old when I had my first grand Mal seizure im 36 now

I was 5 years old, diagnosed with grand mal and petit mal seizures, my father, and his brother have Epilepsy too. They believe mine may have been triggered when I fell out of a shopping cart onto a display rack and hit my head while we were on a trip to visit family. I remember being shown a musical carousel and it happening, my 5 year old brain thought the carousel caused it and I was afraid of it from then on. I'm 28 now and have been off meds and seizure free since I was about 15; I guess I'm in remission? I worry about them returning, my uncle was seizure and med free for years, then he had a seizure while he was driving and was severely injured, back on meds, can't drive anymore, it's just terrifying.
