Need advice on seeing a nutritionist with Medicare and Medicaid

I see my doctor every month and he knows I'm a Diabetic(type 2) but he has never taken my blood sugar and I've been seeing him for almost 7 years. I havnt a clue how to cook healthy meals I can afford. Can I see a nutritionists if I Medicare & Straight Medicade? Does anyone know?

Did that Dr prescribe a blood sugar testing at home for you? That way you can check your own blood sugar since he’s too lazy to test you while you’re in his office.

Have you considered seeing an endocrinologist or maybe switching doctors?👍

A nutritionist can help with what to eat, but really, so can Google and YouTube. Search eating as a diabetic you'll be surprised. Oh, and stage 3 is usually quite a ways from any thoughts of dialysis. Hopefully the referral will come in time.
